Where is Jersey?
Jersey, one of the Channel Islands in the English Channel in English (unlike Jersey, USA), is a small but beautiful island, ideally for a short stay.
The island itself is as far south as France (Saint-Malo is less than 4 km and on a clear day) and at the same time still part of the British Empire, it has benefited significantly better conditions weather.
The time is not only an ideal place for camping, beaches and outdoor persuits, but you will see a multitude of plants and animals are generally not overlooking Great Britain. The most striking is the only population of the United Kingdom Green Lizard, often called Green Lizard Jersey for only it is precisely for this reason. Reaching for a foot long, and males have a slight blue throat they are without doubt a wonderful (if rarely) eyes to see. Red squirrels can still be seen here for the eagle eyes and dolphins are often see during the summer months.
About beaches, the island measures only for a few kilometres from the beaches, there are for all occasions. Long sandy beach ideal for surfing, are better protected “sun bathers’ pristine beaches and rock formations which, in the breeding seabirds. There are even a few caves that only at low tide.
You can arrive by ferry or plane Jersey is a good way to get both a safe harbour, St. Helier or an airport located on the west side of the island.
Brain Drain attractive, but busy capital St. Helier, venture on the northern half of the island for the “real” Jersey experience. Rolling fields filled with thick Jersey cows produce a delicious cream. Farmers green fields with scraps of Jersey Royals – the best new potatoes around. Serres filled with red flame and tomatoes. Digitalis purpurea-laybys dispersed and grasslands and the blue of the deep sea. There are also castles and fishing boat filled with berries to enjoy.
Jersey has a price national speed limit, many narrow paths and a “non Caravan”, they pay an ideal place for hiking and cycling, efficient and for a local bus service includes the whole island . The exploration of this small island is therefore incredibly convenient and fun.
Other things you see here are the tunnels by the Nazis during the war (Channel Islands are farther north, as the invasion of GOT) and the famous Durrell Wildlife Preservation Trust (or simply “Jersey Zoo”) . It was here that a little boy fell into the gorilla pit many years ago on the shock of his parents. Alive, but rather a fear appeal, the boy was monitored and maintained by the gorillas have booked him to extract safe.
Personally, I would like Camp although there are many hotels Around (less self-sufficiency despite hosting) an international standard. As a taxpayer oasis, Jersey has rich businessmen, private jet for a Ferrari and British Monaco. English spoken, they operate on the left side, and they use the book. However, there is a beautiful “French” feel in the style of houses, many place names and french in the excellent quality of food, you will find here – especially seafood
The Channel Islands also Guernsey, Alderney and Sark, all can be achieved by one of inter-island boat services during the summer months and days of tours in France here are easy to store.
