The east Mediterranean island of Crete favorite for Europeans, seeking a second homeland, it should be vacation or retirement place of refuge. There was the sun throughout the year and beautiful landscapes, and is currently a boom in development. Crete has more than 1000 km of coastline, is the largest island in Greece and the fifth in the Mediterranean and it is important that the history of civilization Minoan, the house and has many archaeological remains for visitors to see and ‘explore.

Crete, about 160 km south of mainland Greece, has a population of nearly 650000 people, most living on the coast north of the island. A long chain of mountains which crosses the island on the Law of the Sea and a large portion of the southern coast, where there are a number of small villages and beaches. The climate is temperate, with long, hot summers and mild winters. In winter, snow falls in the mountains, and sometimes along the north side of the island, but rarely in the south.

The largest city on the island is in Heraklion, with nearly 150000 people, followed by Chania, with 54000 inhabitants and Rethymno. Chania and Rethymno are the most popular destinations for tourists in the western part of the island. On the eastern half, Heraklion, management and trade capital of the island, Agios Nikolaos Sitia Laos and popular tourist destinations.

In between Heraklion and Rethymno is the small town of Panormos, where a new home development is under construction. Panorma Seafront all the houses overlook the sea, private or shared baths and are within 50 metres of the ocean. Homes start here under 70000 € for a property of 1-bedroom, 3 bedrooms, while houses can be € 200000. This development is a fine example of the type of property available to off-plan and almost idyllic on the new island.

Hania is the biggest holiday place in Crete. It has many resources, and landscape and the climate is known for Crete. Chania has some of the best nightlife on the island, in the capital city of Chania and tourist spots such as Platanias and Paleochora. The Golden Beach is just a few minutes walk from downtown Chania and offers a sandy beach for those who want to stay in the vibrant city

The main airport at Heraklion in Crete is the international airport, also known as the international airport Nikos Kazantzakis (HER), serves many British and European cities, with flights daily non-stop. The other, Crete, the international airport is the international airport of Chania (CHQ), the western part of the island. A number of airlines flying off the two airports, so it is reasonably priced destination. There are also ferries, travel to and from mainland Greece, often with a night for the trip.
